New FannieMae.com MBS Web Addresses Coming in Mid May - Update

Beginning in mid-May 2013, FannieMae.com web pages related to certain MBS disclosure data will be assigned new web addresses or URLs.  A listing of these web pages, their existing URLs and new URLs is available.  In addition to the web page URLs, the URLs for each data file available on these web pages will also change.  A description is available of how these .txt, .csv, .xls, and .pdf formatted data file URLs will change in a systematic way.  PoolTalk and Multifamily Securities Locator Service will not be affected by these new data links. 

For a period of ninety (90) days after the change, users will automatically be redirected to the new URLs if they access the old links.  At the end of the 90 day period, automatic redirection will be discontinued and users will need to access the web pages and data files via the new URLs.  In order to ensure a smooth transition to the new URLs with minimal disruption to processes, we recommend that users update their bookmarks and systems with the new links as soon as they are activated in May.  Another announcement will be posted with the exact date on which the URLs will change.

This change is part of Fannie Mae’s continued efforts to streamline operational processes and enhance the user experience for those accessing MBS data via FannieMae.com.
