Fannie Mae Reminds Market Participants of New Issues Bulletin Board file retirement

March 14, 2013

In July 2011, Fannie Mae announced the retirement of the New Issues Bulletin Board (NIBB) file. This file was retired because it contained a subset of information to which market participants had access via Fannie Mae’s New Issue Pool Statistics (NIPS) file.  The NIPS file is found on Fannie Mae’s PoolTalk® application and contains issuance data for single-family and multifamily pools closed on a specific date.

With today’s announcement, Fannie Mae is notifying market participants that the NIBB file will be turned off on Monday, May 13, 2013. Market participants should refer to the NIPS file, which is published by 7:30 a.m. eastern time each morning for new issue pool information going forward.
