Certain MBS Pools Affected by Servicer Reporting Error
It has come to our attention that a servicer's reporting error has resulted in erroneous MBS prepayments affecting certain pools reported in the September factor file published on October 6, 2020.
As referenced in the Fannie Mae Investor Reporting Manual, if a loan is discovered to have been erroneously liquidated after the applicable loan reporting cycle, the removal of the loan from the MBS pool cannot be reversed.
The impacted pools are listed here, along with the prepayment amount resulting from the error. As a reminder, Fannie Mae has a claims process for investors who believe they may have been financially harmed due to a unique incident or potential disclosure issue on a Fannie Mae issued security.
