ACCESS Program
Fannie Mae has long been committed to expanding opportunities in the financial markets for diverse firms. Established in 1992, Fannie Mae’s ACCESS® program provides opportunities for diverse-owned broker-dealer firms to distribute our fixed-income securities, including debt, MBS, and credit risk transfer, to the capital markets.
Fannie Mae diligently seeks opportunities to include ACCESS firms in funding and investment activities as well as other activities that contribute to our mission. Fannie Mae supports the success of its ACCESS program through a dedicated program management office (PMO). The ACCESS PMO engages with program participants through various activities, including conducting joint fixed-income marketing meetings with investors, providing training workshops that enable ACCESS firms to participate more effectively in Fannie Mae offerings, and educating the trading and sales teams. We also consult with other corporations as they develop similar programs or consider partnering with diverse broker-dealer firms to advance diversity in the capital markets. In addition to nurturing existing program members, we continue to promote the program to potential new participants.
