Fannie Mae Releases New Version of its Mission Index Criteria Attribution (MICA) Disclosure Supplement

January 28, 2025

Today, Fannie Mae released version 1.1 of the Mission Index Criteria Attribution (MICA) disclosure supplement, a social impact estimation methodology for our Single-Family mortgage-backed securities. The MICA disclosure supplement and accompanying tool provide impact investors with enhanced insights into the representation of specific populations of Mission borrowers in their portfolios.

The updated disclosure supplement and CUSIP mapping files are available in PoolTalk®, in addition to an Excel-based tool on our website that automates the estimation methodology. The version 1.1 disclosure supplement contains CUSIPs scored using the Mission Index v1.1 formulation which were issued from March 2024 through December 2024. Moving forward, we anticipate publishing updates to the MICA disclosure supplement quarterly in the month following quarter end. The report only includes MBS, resecuritizations, i.e., Supers®, Megas®, REMICs are excluded.
