Fannie Mae Announces CRT Disclosure Enhancements to Support Multiple Credit Score Models
As part of broader credit score modernization efforts, Fannie Mae will update its Single-Family credit risk transfer (CRT) and Single-Family (SF) Loan Performance data to support the disclosure of multiple credit score models.
The following updates will be reflected in the CRT files published on and after November 25, 2026* and the SF Loan Performance Dataset published in January 2027 (for 2026 Q3 activity)**.
- Classic FICO®: Origination Classic FICO will be provided for CRT and SF loan performance data, where available. Issuance Classic FICO and Current Classic FICO will no longer be disclosed.
- VantageScore® 4.0: Origination VantageScore® will be provided for CRT and SF loan performance data, where available. CRT files will also include the Issuance VantageScore® and Current VantageScore® at the loan-level.
- Fannie Score™: Origination Fannie Score will be provided for CRT and SF loan performance data.
- Pricing Indicator: Identifies which credit score type was used to price the loan, either Classic FICO® or VantageScore® 4.0. The Fannie Score is not used in loan pricing.
- With respect to Origination credit scores, if both Classic FICO and VantageScore 4.0 credit score models are ordered by the lender, both scores will be disclosed.
Details on the updated disclosure attributes are available here.
The Fannie Score is used by Desktop Underwriter® (DU®) during its credit risk assessment of a casefile submission and is generated from Credit Repository data.
